All the boxes ticked

Today finished at the local RSL enjoying a few beers after doing all the touristy things one does in Darwin. We managed to taste a sampling of the local fare at the Rapid Creek Markets enjoying a Thai pawpaw salad around lunchtime before heading out to Humpty Doo for a pleasant Sunday afternoon with friends, Vickie and Hermy.

Back to Darwin to get the tourist attendance stamp at the Mindil Sunset Markets and grab a bite to eat for dinner. Unfortunately the “rat on a stick” man wasn’t there cooking his satays, so we settled for some more Thai food before retiring to the RSL and then the newer room at the back packers.

Tomorrow it will be the Casino and maybe the movies before heading out to the airport. So the next blog should be from Saigon.
